Welcome from the Dean

I began my tenure as Interim Dean in August 2009. Since then, one of my true pleasures has been meeting graduates and friends of this great College in a variety of settings.  Regardless of where I turn – whether in Effingham, Illinois or Sao Paulo, Brazil – I find the deep loyalty and commitment of College of ACES family.  The worldwide presence of our College is quite impressive.   

Another interesting experience – albeit a rather humbling one – has involved the immense respect that has been given to me simply because of the office I hold.  The reality, of course, is that this respect stems from the high esteem held for our world-class faculty, staff, and students of ACES, resulting in the premiere teaching, research, and public-engagement programs that are absolutely second to none.  It’s an honor (as well as fun) to be associated with such a first-class operation.

The College of ACES continues to create and share knowledge that changes the world. And I thank all of you for the enthusiasm and support that you provide while we continue this journey toward a most brilliant future.  Your partnership is very much appreciated.  Thanks.
