ACES Alumni Recognized as International Award Winners
Joel Cuffey and Stephen Anderson were recognized by the University of Illinois International Programs office for their successful careers and accomplishments related to international programs. Joel was recognized with the 2009 International Young Humanitarian Award. Stephen was recognized as the 2009 International Graduate Achievement Award.
Each award winner participated in an ACES International Alumni Seminar sharing about their international involvement. Joel presented "Research in partnership with non-governmental organizations (NGO's): Experiences and Lessons Learned. Stephen presented on "Heavy metals in northern India: a multidisciplinary international experience." The recipients were also recognized at the International Alumni Awards banquet on campus.
