District 7 - Corn to Ethanol Alumni Event 2007
District 7 ACES Alumni Event was held on June 21, 2007 with over 40 people in attendance. Alumni and friends toured the National Corn-to-Ethanol Research Center (NCERC) in the University Park of SIU Edwardsville as part of the college's corn to ethanol effort. A buffet dinner was served following the tour in the Edwardsville High School cafeteria.
Dr. Bob Hoeft, head of the Department of Crop Sciences, discussed the college's research in ethanol production. Brittany Powers, Student Advancement Committee Member, shared highlights as a student and Tina Veal shared highlights from the College of ACES Alumni Association.
